Daryl Williams
Architect of Reinvention
Sociologist, entrepreneur, co-author, and publisher. I've spent my career helping people rebuild when the ground shifts — and now I'm doing my own reinvention out loud on a five-acre farm. My Boomer Lifestyle is the magazine. This page is where you meet the person behind it.

The Through-Line
A career built on rebuilding
I haven't had a career. I've had six — stitched together by one skill: rebuilding when the ground shifts. Touring musician. Recording-studio owner and independent label founder. Sociologist. Foundation executive. National CEO. Author. Publisher. Now homesteader and satirist.
The work always followed the same instinct — go where things are broken, figure out how to put them back together, and teach other people how to do it for themselves. That's the through-line. That's the brand.
I call it the Architecture of Reinvention. It's the lens behind everything I publish here, on YouTube, and in the next book.
The Credentials
What I've actually done
Sociologist. M.A. in Sociology. Completed all doctoral coursework and comprehensive examinations (ABD) on the way to the PhD.
Foundation executive. Director of Entrepreneurship at a major American entrepreneurial foundation. Co-founding senior director of a national career development foundation. Assisted with the creation of a career assessment tool used by more than 500,000 people.
National CEO. Ran a national entrepreneurial coaching network — five offices, a roughly $14 million program, and 3,000+ entrepreneurs served. Frontline work in post-Katrina New Orleans and post-auto-crisis Detroit. If you want to learn reinvention, work in cities where the ground has literally given way.
Author. Co-author of The 7 Secrets of the Gig Gurus (2020) — with endorsements from a sitting U.S. Congressman, a retired Navy Vice Admiral, a Brookings senior fellow, and the CEO of the United Way. Congressional testimony and a national speaking history to match.
Founder. Current CEO of an investment fund and a scholarship/certification program — putting capital and credentials in the hands of people the traditional system routinely misses.
Publisher & satirist. Creator of 360 Degrees of Truth, a political and cultural satire show on YouTube. Publisher of My Boomer Lifestyle, the magazine you're reading right now.
The Why
Reinvention is the only skill that compounds
Most of the people I work with — and most of the readers of this magazine — are in the biggest reinvention of their lives. Leaving careers. Downsizing homes. Becoming widows, widowers, empty-nesters. Renegotiating money, body, identity, and purpose all at once. The culture treats that like a crisis. I treat it like a craft. There's a way to do this well, and it can be taught.
The Life
Practicing what I publish
I write from a five-acre farm I bought in my sixties, raising food, building infrastructure, and showing the work. Behind this magazine are two other projects — No Farm No Problem, the homestead channel where the real life happens, and 360 Degrees of Truth, where the sociologist gets to laugh at the bigger picture. Different doors. Same house.
Home base is a five-acre farm where I live with my wife, our two daughters, and two dogs who are convinced they run the place.
