Simplifying Your Life: A 7-Day Challenge
Reset your life—one day at a time
Daryl WilliamsMay 2, 2026
Life doesn't usually get complicated all at once. It happens slowly. A few extra commitments here. A little more clutter there. This isn't about changing your whole life overnight. It's about resetting it—one day at a time.
Life doesn't usually get complicated all at once.
It happens slowly.
A few extra commitments here.
A little more clutter there.
And before you know it, everything feels heavier than it should.
This isn't about changing your whole life overnight.
It's about resetting it—one day at a time.
**Day 1: Clear One Space**
Not the whole house. Just one area.
A drawer. A counter. A corner.
Small wins matter more than big plans.
**Day 2: Cut One Commitment**
There's something on your calendar you don't actually want to do.
You know it. I know it.
Let it go.
**Day 3: Digital Cleanup**
Your phone is holding onto:
Apps you don't use
Emails you don't read
Notifications you don't need
Clean it up. You'll feel it immediately.
**Day 4: Simplify Meals**
Pick 2–3 go-to meals for the week.
Remove the daily "what's for dinner?" decision.
That alone reduces more stress than you'd expect.
**Day 5: Create Quiet Time**
No TV. No phone. No noise.
Just 15–20 minutes.
It might feel strange at first—but that's the point.
**Day 6: Revisit Your Priorities**
Ask one question:
"What actually matters right now?"
Not five years ago. Not someday.
Right now.
**Day 7: Keep What Works**
Don't try to maintain everything.
Just keep the pieces that made your life easier.
That's your new baseline.
